Big Ten Honors Blanton

It looks like I'm not the only one who was impressed with Jordan Blanton's first weekend as an Illini wrestler.  The Big Ten Conference today honored Blanton as its co-wrestler of the week after he racked up two pins and a 3-0 record in the inaugural ACC/Big Ten Clash over the weekend in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  Blanton shares this week's honor with Wisconsin's standout 197-pounder, Dallas Herbst.

Blanton and the Illini will head to Columbia, Missouri this Sunday for the Missouri Open.

I promised more soccer coverage today, but that will come your way tomorrow.  I'll have a few interviews to share, and some thoughts on the upcoming match with perennial powerhouse North Carolina.
