Illinois tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, sidelined by a sprained ankle against Penn State on Saturday, is feeling better.
“He looked pretty good today,” Illinois coach Ron Zook said. “I may upgrade him a little bit (from questionable). Still, it’s going to be a wait and see. I was impressed with the way he ran around out here today.”
Zook said he expects safety Garrett Edwards (neck) and defensive tackle Corey Liuget (ankle) to be ready for Saturday’s game against Michigan State.
The Illinois football team has suffered deeply from many injuries to its better players. Does anyone wonder why things are going as good as they though they would with all of these serious injuries affecting the team's overall perforamcne level. Go Illini!!
