No. 37: Chris Duvalt, receiver.
Why he's important: Converted cornerback is part of the receiving group that Phil Steele Magazine rates the second best in the country. He had 10 catches in 2008 and scored on four of the 10. He should see the ball more in 2009 after getting more comfortable playing on offense. He had a very good spring, at times making spectacular catches. To move up the receiver rotation, he needs to be consistent during practices on both caching the passes and running the routes.
Getting personal: Speech comm major is part of the Florida contingent on the current team. He starred at Lake Gibson High School in Lakeland, earning all-state honors as a senior. He had 12 interceptions his final two years in high school and figured to stay on defense at Illinois. But a glut of talented players at cornerback and some depth concerns at receiver, plus his willingness to do it, make it an easy for him to play receiver. Off the field, he's a funny, friendly guy.
