No. 33: Justin Lattimore, tight end

Why he's important: First, the position is going to be important to Paul Petrino's offense. He'll be in a training camp battle to move up the depth chart, but figures to be on the field plenty no matter who is starting. He got adjusted to college football as a redshirt in 2009, learning from St. Louis Rams draftee Michael Hoomanawanui. He was a deep threat as a tight end in high school at Tampa Gaither. Year away from the games allowed him to add to his size and strength. Not being rushed onto the field will be a good thing later in his career.

Fast fact: A top scholar-athlete at his high school, he picked Illinois over Iowa, Florida Atlantic and others.
