What do sportswriters do during four hours of practice? This one frets about the 2009 schedule. Particularly, the unresolved parts of the 2009 schedule. Like the Illinois-Cincinnati game scheduled for Nov. 27 at a time to be determined.

Why do I care? Because, for some reason in the early August, I must know if I can eat Thanksgiving dinner with my family. The only way for that to happen is for the Cincinnati game not to be at 11 a.m., which was talked about as one of the options.

More likely, it appears the game will be played Friday night. That won't be great for deadline, but it will sure help with the turkey eating.

My advice to anyone making the trip: Until the official time is announced, cover yourselves with multiple hotel reservations. And then hope the weather is mure on the sunny side while trying to scamper to Nippert Stadium with five hours to spare.
