18 days to 2009 opener
Can't wait to get home tonight to see what Howard Griffith, Gerry DiNardo and Dave Revsine have to say after visiting Camp Rantoul.
It's always good to see the Big Ten Network trio, who are in the middle of a 15-day tour of the league's football teams. They didn't get much health from the weather, having to wait out a storm before finishing up their work. By early evening, they were back on the bus, bound for Camp Kenosha.
Griffith and DiNardo were good hires by the Big Ten Network. Besides having good personalities, they know the game and offer valuable insight. Of course, they aren't going to be very negative now. But once the season starts, they will be critical when criticism is called for.
Next year, I'm going to try to ride part of the way on the Big Ten Network tour. Maybe when they travel from Purdue to Illinois. Or from Illinois to Camp Kenosha (Northwestern's training camp). It sounds like nonstop college football talk on the comfy bus.
