Football Already?

Is it really time to start talking football?  Hard to believe, but it almost is.  It might be hard to look ahead to the fall with all of this heat and humidity, but sure enough football is just around the corner.  High schoolers are getting ready for their seasons, and Camp Rantoul is three weeks away.   With that in mind, I guess I better get into the mood as well.

At some point I will be picking up a copy of NCAA Football 2011 for the XBOX 360 and when I do, I plan on doing some season simulations to see how things work out in the Big 10.  It's always fun looking at the stats and wondering if it's possible for certain players to put up those kinds of numbers.

A buddy of mine already has the game and says it's pretty good.  He said some improvements were made in areas where improvement was needed, so I'm looking forward to checking it out.  Maybe if there's enough interest, we can start an ILLINIHQ dynasty on there.  It's a long shot, but it would be pretty neat if we could get five or six of us on there to play in a dynasty of some kind.

So look for me to throw up some numbers from simulations I do for the upcoming season.  Even though they don't mean anything, they are still neat to look at, and I enjoy doing it.  Also, look forward to another season of making predictions.  Someone's got to knock me off the top :)

Until next time, stay cool!
